My Pixel 2 phone has this feature called Now Playing. It behaves like Shazam, the song identifying app, but it’s always on (you can turn it off). This passive listening displays the title and artist of any song it can identify so instead of having to ask someone I can just check my phone.

Recently I read a review of an add-on app that keeps this Now Listening data in a log. It also logs GPS data and timestamp, so you can know where and when you were when the song was identified.

I’ve been running this history app now for a few days and I’m amazed at how much music gets picked up. I have so much data now I really want to do something with it.

Looking for ideas.
